In October, Google introduced the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro smartphones, initially launching the Pixel 8 in Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose colors, and the Pixel 8 Pro in Obsidian, Bay, and Porcelain hues. Recently, the company unveiled a new Mint color officially, following a cryptic teaser proclaiming 'Fresh year, fresh drop.'
The Pixel 7 had been released in a Lemongrass color, which, when compared to the Mint, had a lighter shade. Despite the color difference, both variants share the same glass body with a glossy finish and similar specifications.
Pricing and Availability
The Mint color variant is exclusively available on the Google Store and is offered only in the 128GB model at the same price. Although the Mint Pixel 8 is listed on Google India's online store, it's important to note that Google sells Pixel phones exclusively through Flipkart in India, so the availability of the new color on Flipkart is yet to be confirmed.
January Pixel Feature Drop
The January Pixel Feature Drop introduces the capability to measure body temperature on the Pixel 8 Pro after receiving FDA authorization. Additionally, the Circle to Search feature, initially announced by Google at the Galaxy Unpacked event, is either currently rolling out or set to be widely available from January 31st.
For Pixel users, the Photomoji and Magic Compose features in the Google Messages app are now rolling out widely, enhancing the messaging experience on the Pixel devices.
