iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max early renders show off a new Capture button

Early prototypes of Apple's forthcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models, expected to launch in September 2024, have surfaced through leaks provided by MacRumors. Despite the familiar overall design, several noteworthy changes are reportedly in progress.

The most immediately noticeable modification is a larger screen for both models. The Pro is anticipated to increase to 6.27 inches, while the Pro Max might showcase an expansive 6.85-inch display. This increase in screen size will naturally result in larger overall dimensions.

Reportedly, the iPhone 16 Pro will measure 149.6 x 71.45 x 8.25mm and weigh 194 grams, while the 16 Pro Max will have dimensions of 163 x 77.58 x 8.25mm and a weight of 225 grams.

New to the smartphones is said to be the addition of a Capture button. Rumored to include a force sensor, this button will be flush with the phone's frame, positioned on the right below the power button. This new feature is expected to be exclusive to the Pro model iPhones and will serve as a shortcut for the camera app.

In the camera department, upgrades are speculated. Both Pro models may incorporate 48MP ultrawide lenses, a significant advancement from the existing 12MP sensors. Furthermore, the smaller Pro model might join the Pro Max in offering an impressive 5x tetraprism zoom lens, allowing for closer views of distant subjects.

While internal specifications remain undisclosed, it is speculated that the iPhone 16 Pro series will be powered by Apple's next-generation A18 Bionic chip.

It's crucial to note that these details are based on leaks and rumors, and the final design and features of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max may differ. Nevertheless, these early leaks provide a glimpse into what Apple might have in store for its upcoming flagship models.
