After releasing teasers, POCO has officially announced the launch of the POCO X6 series in India, scheduled for January 11th. The teaser features brand ambassador Hardik Pandya showcasing the phone, unveiling its 64MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
POCO has already confirmed that the POCO X6 series will be the first in India to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra, the same System on Chip (SoC) found in the Redmi K70E. It is expected to be a rebranded version of this device and is likely to be launched as the POCO X6 Pro.
According to speculations, the phone will sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming feature.
The design is anticipated to include a glass or vegan leather back, a plastic frame, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 64MP rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. Additionally, the phone is expected to feature a substantial 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
There are suggestions that the POCO X6 may be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, set to launch in India later this week. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is projected to offer a 6.67-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 64MP rear camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone is expected to house a 5100mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
There are also swirling rumors about the potential launch of the POCO X6 Neo, speculated to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro.
Both the POCO X6 series and POCO M6 Pro are set to make their global debut on the same day. On the Amazon Dubai website, the POCO X6 and X6 Pro have been listed with a price tag of AED 1149 (USD 312 / Rs. 26,065 approx.) and AED 1299 (USD 353 / Rs. 29,490 approx.), respectively, for the 12GB + 512GB model.
