Gillingham surged past Notts County in the League Two standings, securing a playoff position with a comeback victory at Meadow Lane.
Despite Dan Crowley's opening goal for County, Gillingham rallied with strikes from Oli Hawkins, Max Clark, and Conor Masterson, propelling them to a seventh-place position, two points clear of the Magpies.
County took the lead in the 13th minute when Crowley's shot from distance found the net off the post, courtesy of Jodi Jones' assist, setting a League Two record with 17 assists in a season.
However, Gillingham responded swiftly as Masterson delivered a cross for Hawkins to nod home seven minutes later. Before halftime, Gillingham turned the tide in their favor as Clark executed a superb first-time finish at the back post.
After the interval, Gillingham extended their lead when Masterson capitalized on County's failure to clear a corner, heading in from close range.
Late in the game, Gillingham came close to furthering their lead as Tim Dieng's header hit both posts, with Masterson narrowly missing his second goal as his header sailed over the bar.
