Realme is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated smartphone, the Realme 12+ 5G, in India on March 6 at 12 PM IST. Positioned as the first in its price segment to feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) at the back, this device is set to make waves.
The circular camera module, as showcased on the Realme 12+ 5G landing page, mirrors the design seen in other smartphones of the Realme 12 series. While further details about the Indian version are awaited, the phone is scheduled for a simultaneous launch in Malaysia with the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G on February 29.
Leaked details from a Malaysian retailer website indicate the Realme 12+ 5G will be available in beige and green colors. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, 12GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage.
The device boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the camera front, expect a triple-camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.
For selfies, a 16-megapixel front camera is in place. The smartphone runs on Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 and houses a robust 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
While awaiting confirmation on whether the Indian variant will share the same specifications, Realme has recently launched the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G and Realme 12 Pro 5G in India on January 29. The Realme 12 Pro+ boasts a flagship 64MP periscope telephoto camera, a 120Hz curved vision display, 67W SuperVOOC charging, and a substantial 5000mAh battery.
