Last month, Realme introduced the Realme 12 Pro 5G series in India, comprising both the standard Realme 12 Pro 5G and the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G variants. The company is anticipated to broaden its smartphone portfolio in the Indian market by unveiling the new Realme 12+ 5G model.
This upcoming release has been hinted at through an official teaser on the social media platform X (previously Twitter). A dedicated microsite for the smartphone has been launched on the company's Indian website. While the page hints at the Realme 12+ 5G moniker, it intriguingly teases the model with the tagline: "One More Plus," indicating it to be the Realme 12+ 5G.
div style="text-align: justify;">Furthermore, the company has hinted at a green faux leather finish for the smartphone, along with promising "unseen 12 upgrades." Although speculations suggest the potential launch of a vanilla Realme 12 5G model, there hasn't been any official confirmation regarding it.
Moving on to the specifications of the Realme 12+ 5G, a previous report by Nashville Chatters indicated that the smartphone was listed on Geekbench and India’s BIS site under the model number RMX3867.
These listings suggest that the smartphone might be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Notably, this chipset also drives other models such as the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro.
The Realme 12+ 5G is expected to boast a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen. Regarding its camera setup, it may feature a triple rear camera arrangement, likely comprising a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone might sport a 16MP front camera. However, it's speculated that the global variant of the smartphone will incorporate a dual rear camera setup, with a 64MP primary sensor alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Additionally, the smartphone is anticipated to house a 5,000mAh battery and weigh approximately 190 grams.
