Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date for the Xiaomi 14 in India. The announcement came through a post on X, wherein the Chinese manufacturer revealed that the Xiaomi 14 series would debut in the country on March 7.
Previously, Xiaomi had teased its partnership with Leica on the official Xiaomi India X page. The Xiaomi 14 series is also slated for a global launch on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), following its initial unveiling in China last October. Additionally, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is set to launch in China on February 22.
According to Xiaomi India's announcement on X, it is likely that only the vanilla Xiaomi 14 variant will be available in India, with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Pro possibly excluded from the Indian market.
The Xiaomi 14, as released in China, features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 6.36-inch LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It is anticipated that the Indian variant will share similar specifications, offering up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of the camera setup, co-engineered with Leica, the Xiaomi 14 in China boasts a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a Summilux lens.
Additionally, it includes a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and another 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, along with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The device is powered by a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Moreover, Xiaomi has also confirmed the imminent unveiling of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in China. This variant is expected to feature a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony LYT900 sensor with an f/1.63 aperture and a Leica Summilux optical lens. Furthermore, it will offer dual telephoto cameras equipped with 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors.
