The comprehensive win secured a 5-3 aggregate triumph for the hosts in Florida, with goals from Messi, Suarez, and Robert Taylor.
Suarez wasted no time, opening the scoring in the eighth minute to give Miami an early 1-0 advantage. A crafty pass from left-back Jordi Alba found Messi, who delivered a sublime through ball to Suarez, allowing the former Liverpool striker to convert comfortably.
Fifteen minutes later, Messi added to the tally, receiving a pass from Diego Gomez before firing home to extend his team's lead to 2-0. Inter Miami headed into halftime with a comfortable advantage, which was further solidified in the 63rd minute when Robert Taylor joined the scoresheet.
Messi was substituted in the 50th minute, making way for Taylor. However, Nashville managed to salvage a consolation goal through Sam Surridge in stoppage time.
